Im always 40 and I was thinking of when and why I decided to be a motorcyclist, it was 1985 an a friend mine had a Honda VF 500 interceptor, I was in love of that bike. In that time I didn't even know how to drive a motorcycle, later another friend taught me on his Suzuki GS 450, I never rode on the interceptor and my friend sold it.

Several years later I bougth a VF 750 chassis (no motor) and made a reconstruction buying spare parts of a wreched bike, We spent almost a year fixing it, untill it was riding again, I used that bike one year and sold it to buy a CBR600 f Hurricane, (awesome bike).
After all I've had a lot of bikes and now I own my 2002 VFR and an RC51 . My friend (the VF 500 owner) used to talk about the quality and well made of his Interceptor , later he got a VFR 700 and later a 1990 VFR that sold to me, It was my first VFR, maybe someday I will buy a VF500 and make my dream come true...

the hurricane is the bike that changed my life too. I LOVE those 600F models.

the VFR is very nice and probably the more mature rider's bike for me.

Grew up riding dirt bikes but my first experience of street riding was a GS450. A magic little bike, used it as my sole transport for about 5 years. In fact, it's lying derelict in the workshop, keep threatening to get it running again.

My first bike was a new 1975 RD350. I rode it for about 5 years then road raced it for 2 years more. It sits back in my shed. We did endurance race a GS450L and were quite successful with it. It was a really ugly little bike as it was an insurance write off. We ran it in lightweight superbike as we didn't have enough parts to put it stock class. I think we got 2 firsts and 3 seconds or was it 3 firsts and 2 seconds with it.

I can't say any of them changed my life. Anymore I actually prefer riding bicycles and dirt bikes rather than road bikes. I don't need a patch of sand in the middle of a sweeper

Cycle a bit myself but its getting pretty dangerous in SA, guys get taken out regularly. That's why more and more people are turning to mountain bikes.
