I don't know, in all of my years of street and track riding the rear brake has done nothing but bad things to bike when cornering. As mentioned, any good instructor will start off by telling the student they had better never touch that rear brake lever. Turning in hard with the rear brake engaged is scary! No thanks, if I ever get a bike with linked brakes I'd ditch them in a hurry.

The old back brake thing lol.
I use it all the time.... or did. Nah still do, just not an the Viffer. I am 50 with 40 odd years of riding and racing. I'm still paid to ride as an instructor.
It use to be my stabalizer, my traction control and even sometimes a brake. Now with the 8 and 16 bit ECU's, all that I have learnt is going down the drain. Pffhht Oh well.
Having to do fig 8's with linked brakes sucks. And roundabouts. Do you guys over there have roundabouts. Big round greasy messy chaotic traffic control systems that just love to bring you down. Specially in the wet. This is two circumstances and probably the only two unless I am really on it and showing off where the linked brake system shits me.
If I could I would remove the back brake working the front brake and thats it.
ps I got your point OP. But you always use a rear brake to suck you into the apex with a trailing throttle. Never ever use the rear alone for that sort of manouver. Or you will point in a little more than expected or wanted lol.
Now to fix the trailing throttle. God it's snappy. Do they run these really lean to pass emmision tests or something ??? or is it just mine.

Ah, roundabouts... They're not the most pleasant things with linked brakes. All you want to do is moderate the snappy throttle with a bit of rear brake and you get front end dive. I suspect that the next thing someone will write is "balance the throttle bodies". ;)

OK. My 2 cents worth. When I first brought my 08 VFR, the first thing that got me was the linked brakes. I even asked the forums about delinking and received some really helpful advise from members. Then I had a go at track days on it and was not happy with the linked brakes as a I kept locking up the back brake under extreme braking. I tried a number of techniques to remedy this but without much luck. That said, the VFRs brakes are otherwise not to shabby. Ive since abandoned the idea of delinking and have purchased GSXR 750 as a track bike and my problems with braking have dissappeared. The VFR is not a sport bike, its a bloody good sport tourer. My advise; dont outride your ability, especially on unfamiliar roads and do a track day on your bike. You will be surprised how much you will learn about yourself and your bike.

Hi PA. I got my suspension customised and the problem went away for speeds where I need either no brakes or front trail braking (see an earlier post). It's still annoying for low speeds, when I want to turn with just a crack of throttle open, but I'll get the throttle bodies synched and I'll see how it goes.

LBS = Lame Braking System...WTF, why use car think applied to motorcycles? Just some stupid marketing hype really. Anyone worth a damn knows you wana operate front and rear brakes independtly (like trail braking) Dont even get me started on that ABS stuff. I am glad I swapped cars and now drive a JEEP with no ABS. As for motorcycles with it, I think I would walk than ride one of them. But thats just me, used to see a few Beemer people axe all that ABS crap and go with normal lines. And heaven help you when you have to bleed your brakes  what are they doing? saving us from oursleves?

I'm agree, it's not the brakes, I suggest you to use both brakes before you get a corner, and always look to the end of the corner to avoid an impact with a car or go outside of the road................take care
