Post the picture from another site. That one needs you to be logged in to see it.

Keep the stock Airbox. The bike doesn't need extra air to that extreme.

Post the pictures anyways to quench our curiosity.

Hey guys I rode the bike this Saturday and wow I love this bike, it also idles without the choke. I do have another issue though. I went to go and get the bike inspected so I could get it registered. I went to the first shop turned the bike off but they were to busy so I started the bike up drove to another shop turned the bike off and that shop didn't do it so I went to start the bike to leave and it would not start. It finally started after about 10 min. I was wondering will this problem go away after a sync or do you guys think I just get it to hot. I did go and start the bike later in the day after I got home and it started just fine.

Your individual air filters should work fine provided the jetting is correct and not to lean that mostly happens with K&N filters. Your starting could be from the pilot screws not being adjusted out far enough or to far. There is a happy medium.

Sometimes mines like that. Keep throttle closed start cranking then just crack the throttle open a little. A carb sync could also be the problem, only after getting hot.

Going with pod filters on that bike is a mistake cuz the airbox base plate keeps carbs in alignment and tight.

I would go a step further and say that the stock airbox and snorkle are tuned for the engine.

Removing these can lead to performance loss.

Check out Kevin Cameron's Sportbike Performance Handbook for more intel on this and many other topics. It's a great read!

pod filters IMHO are something suited to RACING applications only. and even there its iffy. I dealt with a bike running pods once, they make tuning MUCH more complicated. if you want easy tuning, reliability, and no headaches, keep the airbox. CV carbs, no matter what name is on them, constant velocity carbs rely on smooth calm airflow, not turbulent air to run smoothly.

dont undo something an engineer with a LOT more knowledge, and funding to design created. they likely did so because it worked well.

I kept the stock air box in place and the bike perform just fine with it. I also went down to the local Honda shop and ordered some 5mm sync adapters so they should be in in a few days so that will make syncing a little easier. The guy at the Honda shop said that once I sync my carbs, it should solve my starting problem. I am so happy I got those carbs cleaned the way y'all told me to, it even starts now without the choke from a cold start and it idles well and prickly better after the sync. Thanks again guys for all of your help. Also if you guys have any input to post #22 it would be greatly appreciated thanks.
