Does anyone know IF 4th generation soft saddlebags are compatable w/5th generation models?? Devil is in the details,...time will tell! Thanks
The bags themselves are compatible but maybe not the mounting straps which go on the seat. Seats are probably a bit different, dimentionally speaking. If memory serves, I had to order new mounting straps for my 5th gen in order to use the RKA bags which I had been using on my '96 4th gen. So long ago I can't really remember. Try them and see. Best to call or e-mail RKA and ask. They have a nice website. BTW, I bought my bags USED, and they are still serving me well, after more than 10 years. Only issue was a broken seat mounting strap (probably failed due to UV exposure after so much use).
