I'm going to fab up some boxes for the sides of my bike and wouldnt mind some advice from someone who has gone before me. I usually use ammo cans but would prefer something different this time, maybe plastic, maybe aluminum. Looks are secondary to function so long as they dont make me look like a bum.

I have my bike packed up right now for Mexico, but I used my RKA luggage for this trip. I think you were thinking more like the above but I'd say the RKA is a good route if you don't want to spend the givi $$ but want good quality. Not nearly as much storage, though. Definitely weighs less using the soft luggage, though.

Welcome to Plano Molding Company - Innovative Storage Solutions - Fishing Tackle Systems, Hunting and Outdoor Storage, Golf Cases and Storage Check out Plano Molding Company in Plano, IL. About 30 miles west of Chicago. Yep, same company that makes the tackle boxes. They have some neet plastic ammo boxes with an o-ring seal. Dirt Cheap! I think I paid $13 bucks for the one I have. I use it as a tool box. At the time they only came in orange or white but who knows what color they are molding this week.

    Thanks.
Now to come up with some framework to mount it.
