So, sold my '07 Triumph Daytona 675 when I went back to school (it killed me to do it and I think about her every day!:( )!

Now I'm done and it looks like I'll need to travel for awhile for work, about a 200 miles or so one way, I'm going stay and work the three days and come home for weekends.

I don't know much about the VFRs, checked out the forum abit, what are some common problems/issues? Comfortable for longer trips, 4 to 8 hours? Good wind protection? Maintenance costs? What is considered high miles for this motor? The 6th Gen. seems like the best as far as price vs. miles goes. Any other info is appreciated.

I'd like to get an '07 anniversary with the hard bags, it looks like there are a few around $6500 or so on ebay and I see one on here for $7200 with low miles, seems like a good deal, no!? Other colours are fine as they all look nice though.

Can't go wrong with any year really. The only "real" problem that is a 50/50 chance is some kind of electrical problem. Be it the stator dies or the ground block melts. Knock on wood, I've never had an electrical problem. Mechanically these bikes are made to last and then some. I've hardly ever hear of someone checking their valves and any of them are out of spec. I checked mine around 46k (first time for me) and they were all good on my '01.

They're people with less than 10k miles and there are people with over 200k miles on their VFR. Honda did a good job on everything that is mechanical. It's just the electrical on some of them that might shy some away.

I have a 5th gen with a little over 80,000 and pretty much the only trouble I have had has been electrical (R/R) except for when I have caused problems doing something wrong.

    Thanks guys!

My Triumph had the R/R problem, always covered under warrenty though. Are VFRs easy to work on?
