    So I have a vfr700f and I messed up the side of one of my muflerrs but I have an extra set I know it's a carb engine so would it be ok to just switch them out and wrap them to they have been sitting a while but that shouldn't make to much a difrince will it? Thanks in advance

    ...Not sure I totally understand the question..Do you have an extra set of "stock" mufflers for the bike ? Are the mufflers on it now "stock". Are you asking if you can just change the one muffler rather than both ? If the answers are yes to all, than you can certainly switch the one muffler and it should be fine.

    Yes both sets are stock I want to put the better looking pair on without having to change anything else :)

    ...You won't have any problems just changing one stock set for another. Just be certain that the new mufflers seal properly to the pipes. I don't know what year your bike is but on my 1st gens, the seals/gaskets that fit as a sleeve between the muff and the pipes were destroyed taking off the old mufflers. I had to make new sleeve gaskets out of steel exhaust adapters from a local auto parts store.

    Ya it's a 86 that may be a little out of my knowledge if I had to do that

    ..It's not really a big deal at all. Hopefully your gaskets will stay intact when you do the job. You'll see what I'm talking about when you pull them off. If you do run into trouble someone here can walk you through just about anything on these bikes.
