As you all most likely know, Ryan Dunn was killed early this morning when the Porsche GT3 he was in crashed at a high rate of speed and caught fire. News story here:

I stopped by the scene today as it's only a minute from my work. Real sad to see:

Here's a photo (the rest are in the video at the end):

My interactions with Ryan were all positive which is less than can be said of the other "Jackass crew". He was a good dude. Sad to see this happen. RIP.

    Latest updates:

"West Goshen Township Police Chief Michael Carroll told Action News, "There's evidence there was alcohol. There's plenty of evidence that there was very excessive speed. And those two things don't mix any time.""

"We know that there was some alcohol consumed," said Chief Carroll. "We don't know how much and we don't know factually what the blood alcohol is yet. But there wasn't any - what we saw on the videotape - there wasn't any obvious indications of intoxication."

"Preliminary indications are the car was doing well over 100 when it missed a turn, launched off the guardrail and into the trees."

I imagine he was pretty wasted. Too bad for the passenger at least.

"A toxicology report released on Wednesday showed 'Jackass' star Ryan Dunn was drunk when he perished in a fiery crash earlier this week in Chester County.

The report, released Wednesday by West Goshen Township Police, said that Dunn's blood-alcohol level was 0.196 at the time of the crash early Monday morning.

That is more than twice the legal limit of .08."

What a shame, he was one of the funnier ones in Bam's crew. Never pays to drive hammered, especially not a supercar @ 130MPH, shame shame shame.

Many thanks for posting the video, horrible but fascinating.
Funny how once you own a VFR you recognize the sound instantly. As the video started I was thinking," Hmmm, it's a VFR, chain driven cams, aftermarket pipe" !
