nope...why do you need a turbo? the bike will travel at 125MPH that is fast enough to turn you intpo a smudge on the freeway.LOL

Anything CAN be done. Theres alot of design and tuning to be done. If its not done properly the motor will scatter into many little pieces in a heartbeat. Why on earth you'd ever want to turbo a bike unless you were making a purpose built drag bike beats the hell outta me. The only forced induction I'm aware of for any VFR is the A+A supercharger kit for the 5th generation VFR800. Puts output to 150hp at the rear wheel. I like power just as much as the next guy, but I have never found myself wanting more power. If the vfr isn't doing it for you and your looking for more power you will save yourself alot of money and headaches if you just get yourself a liter bike.

^^ +1 to both Crusty and Davis. The other practical downside to turbocharging a V4 is placing the components; an inline four is considerably easier because all of the exhaust ports are right next to each other.

Just get a faster bike if you're such a great rider you think you need more speed and can handle it.

Top speed of your VFR was tested by various magazines back in the day at 145 mph.

Get real, Bunkie; nobody really needs more power on the street.

No, it wasn't a dumb question. Personally, I think the most significant thing one can ever do is to ask. One of the places I occasionally work for builds some rather complex electromechanical aerospace products. What I have learned is that some of the people there are better about explaining what it is I am asking about, and are more patient with me than others might be. And trust me, I've had more than a few eyebrows raised at the questions I've asked.

One of the engineers, who I have a great deal of respect for, shook his head at me one day, smiled and said, "Do you have to wear a helmet when you come to work?" And he wasn't referring to a motorcycle... We both had a good laugh over it.

If one doesn't ask, one doesn't learn.

ON A SIDE NOTE...If you want to fing an older bike that has a turbo. I think it was yamaha late 80's (IIRC) 750 that was turbo'd.. AA guy I worked with had one and I rode it BRIEFLY, one run onto the freeway... at the end of the on ramp the speedometer was sitting at 120mph.....and my ass was biting the seat to stay on....It was definately fun but, I don't think I have that much of a death wish...

I'm glad you asked. Not because I am keen to do it but more so I am a curious person.

I thought about it, but there wouldn't be enough room for the turbo...
