I was going to order the side luggage for my new vfr1200f, but the internet sites are different.

Honda's website lists the part # for the luggage as 08L51-MGE-111.

I have found that for sale on the 'net, but for cheaper i can get 08L51-MGE-110 (sold as the side luggage color matched with the same stock photo as honda). The company says its the same. Why would the part #s be different? Anyone have any ideas? for that kind of money i want to get the right thing.

I just ordered the saddlebags from accessories4bikes.com and their site showed the 110 number but when I received the bags there were the 111 part number. I remember hearing that Honda changed the source of the bags a little while back. Most likely the part number was changed to differentiate the new source.

I picked mine up from David Silver Spares over the pond. I got them for cheaper then anywhere else, including the shipping. I looked around for my receipt to get the part, but couldn't find it.

I just went and looked at their website again and couldn't find the VFR1200 listed! WTF? lol. Anyways...

David Silver is only selling parts for bikes made before 2002 as of the 1st of June. I actually prices the bags from them before that as well and with the dollar the way it is right now and cost of shipping it turned out I could get them cheaper here in the US. Best price I found was at accessories4bikes.com. They were very quick to get them in and shipping right back out to me. I had them at my door a week after I ordered them.

BUmmer about David Silvers. I went and looked at accessories4bikes.com and I paid less then that for my bags from David Silver last fall. Almost 200 dollars less! Effin Honda should have inclued the side bags with the bike. Ahh well....I'm off to lube my rear pre-load adjuster....again.

I purchased all three boxes for my bike, sides and top. My dealer noted that the part number was different also, but explained it just means they are made in a different country. Somewhere in the coding it tells where it had been manufactured.

Is the part number the same regardless of the color of the panniers? I have a blue, 2012 VFR1200F, but all the pictures associated with the part number are red.

Is there a separate part number for the blue luggage?

I think the part #'s are different for different colors, atleast with the 6th gen they are different and I would imagine it would be the same with 7th gen.

I found this part number from a thread on another site; however, a Google and Bing search doesn't bring anything up at all. Guess I'll take a trip to the dealer today.
