When I use my 4-way flashers it blows the 10a fuse that goes to the horn and turn signals.
The horn and turn signals work perfectly fine when the bike is running or off. But as soon as I turn on the 4-ways, the fuse blows.
The guy who did the safety inspect for the year said it must be shorting out somewhere.
A budy of mine, slightly electricly inclined, tested the lines going from the battery to the switch and from the switch to the indicatiors and didn't find a problem. he thinks it might be the switch.
Does anyone have any ideas on this and where can I find a wireing diagram?

You might consider trying a 15 amp fuse in that circuit to cover the extra electrical demand of 4 flashing 23 watt bulbs.

If there is no problem with either turn signal, there is no short to ground, but a 10 amp fuse might be a little too small for that circuit.

the 4-way flashers are hazard lights and stock right? the bulbs and the wattage are stock spec?
if the bike came like this, do not install a 15 amp fuse, this is more likely to damage components.
check for shorts or grounds. make sure there is no moisture in any of the lens housings, frayed wires, etc.

Most respectfully to Kobe, try the 15 amp fuse anyway. If something is wrong, the fuse will blow, and i would not hesitate to at least try it if it were my bike.

l had the same prob a year or two back on my 5th Gen, it drove me nuts trying to find out what was wrong, turned out one of my taillight globes had blown, as soon as l'd replaced it ,the problem went away....mind you after spending coutless hrs pulling the switchblock apart and checking every connecter, from memory it was the stoplight that was causing the prob, so every time l hit the brake the fuse would blow, very frustrating

l'v only got the normal blinker setup (no hazard lights ) but it still might pay to check all your globes including the brake lights just to make sure there all working as they should, the only thing l can think of in my case was that the globe itself was shorting out when l applied the brakes, l was lucky enough to have someone behind the bike while l was playing around that noticed one of the brake lights not working

4 23watt bulbs = 7.66 amps. Well within the capabilities of a 10amp fuse. If the bulbs are stock dont "upgrade" the fuse. It will simply cause further issues. If the signals work other wise it probably is in the hazzard switch. Post up a diagram of the circuits and we can help you diagnose it further.
