    Hey guys,

Just wanted to remind everyone that the Ride For Dad events are starting to happen all over Canada. The event, for those of you not familiar, is to support Prostate Cancer Research.

Many of us at VFRW are a bit more mature (we've all seen the threads about VFR riders ages) so these events should hit a bit close to home. It would be nice to see some VFR's out there on the rides and not just a bunch of weekend warriors on cruisers.

As part of the host group for tomorrow's (11Jun11) ride in Peel (Ontario), we should see a few VFR's out on the run (although expecting lousy weather). A VFRW bike (mine) should be leading one of the groups.

    Thanks for your support.

    Thanks Billygoat,

The VFR sightings were as follows for the ride, about 150 bikes, 2 5th gens and 2 6th gens (includes me). All in all a good day, given the weather.

Mine was one of those 5th Gens, Hi Pic! We got caught in the rain in the final bits - nothing that my bike and I could not handle.

The best message here is for all men, in their forties, to get checked for prostate cancer with a PSA test to establish a healthy baseline for comparison with tests in the future! If you are a man in your forties, take the test!
