About those cracks about Nebraska, our employment levels do cut into our riding time, but at least we can buy gas. This is in my backyard, and I think a friendly note is in order, with a carbon to the Fraud Division, Lincoln Police Department.

 

All Buffs fans living in CO understand that the N on the Huskers helmets does not in fact stand for "Nowlege", as thought by the Nebraska locals. Let's hope none of them actually send this scammer a check. It would be better to save that money until Arbor Day when it can be donated to the state tree fund, otherwise known as telephone poles.

For the dudes who ain't quite got it yet, the bike in Joisey is for sale and at the price stated. The scammer who posted the ad in Craigslist for Lincoln, NE used the stats and pix on the bike. What the scammer is trying for is for someone to send them some bucks.

For all those dudes who are getting pissy about cracks about Nebraska need to maybe figure out that many of us have Midwestern roots and maybe even kin and OMG!!, even parents from Nebraska. I guess maybe somebody snuck in there and added a wuss clause to the state constitution. If so, the complaints are of course, justified.

and no fucking Texas jokes either..

 

Just for shitz and giggles I emailed the person and got the response below. Anyone have any clever ideas for a reply? I ran into this a few years ago when buying my 3rd Gen and ended up jerking the scammer around for a couple weeks before telling him I wasn't interested. The email chain between us was hilarious.

Tell him you called and they can't find him. Then say he must have gone AWOL, and now you understand why he's selling the bike so cheap. He needs the cash to split out of the country. Arrange a meeting place, but then keep on changing it because "they" are on to you.

 

Ask him to explain VTEC to you. That should get him fumbling around for several hours. Or you could just ask him why a male Air force Master Sgt would paint his bike with pretty pink ribbons.

 

String him along for a while. Then tell him your local or going to be in town and will stop by and look at it. If it's on the base. Tell your friend can get you in. Your friend sgt mjr capt says it's no problem.
