Need help with getting into bike racing

I appreciate the information, gentlemen. I have been thinking about getting into track days as well and all these links are excellent.

hopefully if all goes the way it should ill do some nebsa events then try my hand at a few races to test my skill.

 

been a long time since i've posted anything on this thread the gixxer track bike is long gone now, but my 500 will be seeing track action i'll be doing my first track day down in jennings with some friends so hopefully all will be well thank you again everyone

 

do you want to be the guy behind the guy that didn't safety wire a bolt? instead of racing just do track days..

Well guys pulled the trigger for a weekend bundle at road atlanta the 7/2-7/3 ill be on the VFR myb I might see some VFRW guys out there.

 

How to race

As I understand it you have to go faster round a predetermined course several times than a load of other riders.

Just don't become an ass on the street, as most riders I know that got their racing skills. the whole "look out for me because I am not going to look out for you" or "I'm a better rider, see" attitude. AKA - don't be an ass on the street.

 

Well that explains it all wish you could have told me this couple of years ago.

Went to road atlanta for the first time! I took the VFR it did fine not to bad ill be definitely getting another track bike.
