New here! hello all. shock question?

Hello all!

I just purchased a 99 vfr800 with just over 12000 miles and I'm a fairly aggresive rider/ex-racer looking to see what other shocks will work on our bikes. I have an old 91 Suzuki Katana that I put a new Hayabusa shock on, preloaded the front and changed the fork oil, and damn, while not exactly flickable, that bike handles like it's on rails.

Was wondering if a Blackbird shock, or a CBR1000RR of CBR 954 shock, or something like it would cross reference?
Anyone know what other shocks work on the 5th gen V's?

I put gold valves and progressive springs in my front end, put rear on stiffest setting. Handles like a Gp bike. The Gold valves are worth their weight in Gold and I highly recommend them.(95 Model):first:

 

I think REV modified a 954 shock and got it to work correctly.:hail:

REV's was off a 929 I believe...close.

 

I'd be really interested in the 954 mod.
they are cheap on ebay.
