MotoGP Le Mans 2011 Pedrosa Vs Simoncelli

Pedrosa has said that Simoncelli hit his front brake lever which is why he hit and had to pick the bike up and in the latest Motomatters the editor believes the rear view from Marco's bike shows that he probably hit Pedrosa and that's what caused Pedrosa to stand it up...

I will say this: It somehow rings hollow when fans of Simoncelli come running to his defense. He's so often in the mix when the race goes south, yet it's always the other riders fault and never his own. This, in spite of the fact that most of the riders that actually share the track with him would prefer if he were somewhere else. From almost every rider on the track that day, including by his good friend Rossi's own admission - it was bad move, and just one of many that have taken place this season. He may have world beating talent, but if I'm in charge and therefore considering the consequences of having Simo running up front with my two aliens on the factory team at HRC - he'd be gone. I wouldn't be happy letting that kind of talent go, but better he's fucking things up at the back of the track riding a Duc or a Suzuki, then at the front where the two riders who actually have a chance can be found. I say that because I believe that without the Honda, he has no chance of being up front regardless; at least for now.

He's upfront on a satellite bike. How many satellite bikes do you see in the front running, espeically for qualifying? Only Marco. Let him ride a factory machine and he'll be even more consistent. He's got big balls, he just needs to learn how to calculate better.

Honda could give him Dovi's machine, but to what end? IMO, it would be a totally irrational decision from HRC to have him anywhere near Stoner and Pedrosa. Besides, I'm not so sure he would do well if he were up front, as evidenced by multiple crashes. He has had the podium in sight all year long, yet manages to shit the bed time and again.

Stoner crashed often on a satellite Honda prior to joining Ducati where he became a front runner. Give Marco a little time, who knows if maybe that HRC pow wow will immediately make him change his ways. Regardless, I think he's good and he makes the racing more interesting, his aggressiveness makes other riders push it more so, taking the boring out of racing like the GP has been since the 800's were introduced.

John, maybe an inverted Mohawk ?

I still must be missing something.
I don't see any contact between danny and marco untill danny stood up the bike and hit marco.
I'm not a big marco fan but he does add some excitement, it was a dumb move on his part but it seems danny was up to who has the biggest balls contest on that corner.
I still think that if there was no contact they both would have run off of that corner.

He does have a full factory machine, with full factory support. Hiroshi Aoyama is on a customer machine. This was done to get around the rookie rule. After spending Sunday afternoon in the HRC Hauler with the bosses, I'm sure it was made crystal clear as to how it's going to play out from here.

    An old subject, revisited.

I remember back a month or so ago, folks were asking how John Hopkins would do in his MotoGP one off ride and how he would fare in the BSB series......Top Ten at Jerez and currently second in the BSB series points, four podiums in four races.....

Sideshow Bob will be just fine...... no one wants to screw up a man able to run at the pointy end. Just guessing, but Im betting he's been informed that while "we love ya and of course want you to do well, do try to be a bit more careful around our highly paid guys, and if you run Stoner off the track, we're pissed, with all the negative consequences you might imagine". Those Japanese are so polite.

Because Leon is my man, and hopefully the Misano tests werent bullshit and the power is up on the Beemer, I will throw my hat in the ring and say you missed one man in your assessment of the point end at Utah.

Other than my natural concern for fellow humans, I dont really care about whether Dani is ready for......ok....that was unnecessary. Obviously if you like watching a man that gets the bike out of every corner like no other you would be disappointed to not see Dani ready to race soon

John Hopkins 2nd on the grid for tomorrows BSB race at Thruxton, 1/100th of a second off of pole.

Checa holds down pole for the WSBK in Utah.

Both Yamaha's in the top 5 for tomorrows start in Utah.

Haslam not having it his way.....

What's up with the BMW? Haslam is an excellent racer but this bike is ruining his mojo. Is the BMW to complicated a machine for it's rider to make competitive?
Maybe today's races will prove any of this wrong....
