    Hey guys new Canadian guy on the forum. Was hoping you could give me some of your opinions or suggestions on my first VFR. My last bike was an 85 V65 Magna and the cams went, so i want to be better prepared before buying this one. Attached are some pictures of the one i have in mind. My local dealer has it. Its 91 VFR 750 F with 66000km on it. He's asking $4400.00
    I havent talked to him about it yet as i wanted to come here and see what the experts thought. A few things that stand out for me;
    looks like aftermarket exhaust, slip on??
    Aftermarket seat
    From the reading iv done, white wheels were only available on 90's???? so he has different wheels on it im assuming?
    So...what do you all think? hows the price? mileage okay?
    I appreciate your help..oh and im prepaired for some flames as im such a newb:)

    Looks like she has been to Deal's Gap - the Dragon sticker is still on the left fairing!

    I had to convert the figures - I'm metrically challenged. 66000km = 41000 miles. $4400 CDN = $3740 U.S.

    Sounds a little high to me. I'm actively looking at 3rd gens - they seem to range around $2 - 3K (U.S.), depending on condition. The additional money would have to bring a bike in perfect running order, with a maintenance history to match.

    FWIW, I think the aftermarket can and seat are pluses. This is stuff I would end up wanting, anyway, that bought separately are expensive items.

    Well, finnaly talked to the sales guy at the dealer. Looks like that price was before certification, licensing, and of course taxes. So the grand total is up to $4700.00 on the road. From everything i have read here that seem ridiculas for one with high milage and this old. So the search continues, i havent been able to find any others on Autotrader so im hopeing some pop up as summer arrives. Ontario guys, keep me in mind.
    Thanks again for all the help, great forum.

    Yeah that does look like a good deal. Still a little more then i wanted to spend, and i dont really feel like dealing with the headaches of customs. I'm starting to get worried that i wont find one, i really want one.

    Hey I was not gonna say nuthin because I thought hte price was a little high (Canadian prices are somewhat inflated when compared to the US. Since it is a VFR I just cannot say it is not worth it just I am too frugal to give it up without some kind of negotiating. What SLOVFR said ;0) .

    If it's anything like buying a car in Canada and bringing it back to the states, it's not worth it. Be patient and keep your eyes open, it took me two months to find my VFR, it's all worth it in the end. Craigslist is always a good place to start...

    Yeah i have been looking at Craigslist religously every day watching and waiting. I think I just need to settle down a bit and take R.W.'s advice and be patient.
