Many bikes that come stock with a center stand have a built in lifting point for your right hand, rather than use a knurled footpeg. Sometimes it is just extra bracing, or some rare bikes, I can't think of one right now, even have a fold out handle. On the 6th gen VFR it is meant to be lifted by the passenger foot peg bracket.
Instead of lifting with your arm, try pushing down with your foot, your leg is likely stronger than your arm. Just hold the bike wih your arms/hands, use your leg muscles to lever the bike up.

The big red dirty thing centre of the picture below is the AT mentioned above. Real name: XRV750

Lifting on centre stand use the grip below. Push down with foot on centre stand and pull back on handle bar and this grip with hands. Most of the lifting and force to be done by the leg though. Hope this helps.

(Now that we know what an AT is, anyone got a complete engine to give away. GOt some photos of the oil damage if anyone is interested.)

    Cheers!

Put Rotella T 15w-40 in my bike when i changed the oil last week. Have had a chance to put a few miles on her since then and all is well, feels good and shifts well.

I changed the oil on my VFR last week. Used Mobil1 Racing 4T 10W/40 for the first time. I've used Amsoil on my other bike, but I heard good things about the Mobil1 Racing 4T so I thought I'd give it a shot.

As far as the center stand; left hand on left grip, right hand on left grab handle, push down with left foot.

As an FYI, Shell Rotella T 15W 40 Dino and Rotella T6 Synthetic 5W40 are both JASO MA Certified.

Anyone bigger than my little 5'7" 140 pound frame should be able to center stand their bike without any trouble, since I pop mine up on the stand everyday in the garage.

    rotella oil

    hey man
iv'e been using this in my 2004 sportster. no problems. currently using 15-40 syn in my 2007 st1300. no complaints so far. first change on my 2007 rwb vfr was rotella 15-40 mineral( don't believe in syn till fully broke in at about 15 to 20k miles). harley says to use their oil or an oil for use in diesel engines. hell if it's good for a harley it's bound to do wonders for hondas. i go 6k per oil change with a filter at 3k and a top off. will eventually go to full syn for the vfr.
