Deal or no deal

I have the opportunity to buy a 1984 VFR750 for $300 with a good title. The bike is stock, but is missing the nose fairing. I have heard the horror stories about 1st gen bikes, but what does everyone think? I would think it is worth more that in parts. Owner says it ran a few years ago..........

 

I have recently thrown in the towel on my gen 1 endeavors...........not to be the downer but if you don't need it for parts just let that sleeping dog alone.

 

I don't need it for parts, but would anyone else need parts???

 

If you don't have a guaranteed buyer for the parts, do as Toe says and walk away.
