So I just put a Leo Vince exhaust on and replaced the stock header with a '98 to eliminate the huge collector. Everything is 100% good and I put new exhaust gaskets in place for the 2 downtubes (ones by the back tire), but for some reason I am at a roadblock. Not sure how hard to push the head up onto the downtubes. I placed the header on, and tightened everything down but get a leak out of where the downtubes meet the header. The exhaust clamps are only supposed to set in the very top of the exhaust and then clamp down, but not sure how far to force the header onto the tubes. I dont want to put it all back together until I get this little fiasco done. Its my daily driver so i am trying to figure this out asap so i can put it back together tonight. HELP!!!!! I am very mechanical but for some reason am scratching my head on this like WTH am I not seeing? Shane from Cincy, Ohio 513-615-4800

that is a better pic of the silencer one.

they are sold separate and they should have asked if you needed any at time of order, I wish I could find the link to the parts fiche

hope that helps, as temp fix guess you can use high temp silicone

Hey, guess what? The downtubes on a '98 are larger diameter than a '02. Forgot to throw the 98 downtubes on, thus the discrepancy and not being able to tighten them down. Now I am waiting for 2 1998 exhaust baskets. Thanks for eveyones help!
