how the hell did an 04 GSXR motor even FIT in a kan o tuna frame? as far as I know, those two are so radically different its pretty much fiat vs ferrari. plus the 04 GSXR is fuel injected and cannot be carbed. unless he used a 94, which IS carbed. and still crap IMO.

nothin personal, you did a phenominal job taking a hideous piece and making it look good, I wouldnt have bothered myself but thats me. my fix would have begun with a sawzall and the recycler, where every piece metal would be. but still, well done. the whole bike is pretty neat lookin now.

Sorry Bob, typo, I think it was a mid 90's GSX-R 750 motor. As far as the "bother" to do this job, I get a kick out of the bikes we look at as "crap" and making them better rides. Oh, sure the suspention is crap, but the rider is 110 lbs & I did drop alot of bike weight. I would not recomend to the owners to go nuts on high performance suspention. Not on this bike, just ride it, smile and be happy. She is a new rider. She won't know any better until she gets a taste of the R bikes or a GOOD ST ride.
I have made a habit of changing up bikes the last couple years....
