hey guys im new to the forum. i just purchased a 92 vfr 750 and it needs new fairings, i have it street fighter style right now. well i actually have a num of questions but ill take it one at a time.

    1. i dont really like the banana 1 seat style and would much rather have the 2 single seats. so im gonna swap out the subframe, or modify my current one if thats an option? i was just currious what subframe would be an easy swap and look nice. i was thinking of mabee using a subframe off of a vfr400 or mabee a rc51 or ect, if you have one in mind dont be shy to tell me about it (will consider all options).. im sure someone on here has done a twin seat swap i would prefferabally like to just be able to just bolt it on but i will weld it if i have to.... thanks

    2. after i switch out the sub frame i would like to put in some new fairings... thats why i mentioned the vfr400, do you guys think those fairings would just bolt right on after that or will there be some modding needing to be done after? serious or not? all fairing options are on the table willing to learn some ideas... if you know of a subframe swap and some fairings i would appreciate it

3 you dont need to answer both questions... any info is better than none! thanks

Ask member VFRHusband. He fabs alot of bikes and his wife's 3rd Gen has a modified tail that I believe if from a R1 or something similar. As far as fairings go I can pretty much assure you the VFR400 bodywork will NOT bolt right on. I think the closest thing you will find to OEM is bodywork from Thurn Motosports in Germany. I've bought stuff from them in the past and quality is very good but the parts and shipping are expensive (THURN LINK)

A cheaper option would be bodywork from Airtech Streamlining (AIRTECH LINK) I have heard quality is mediocre and you need to drill out the mounting holes and primer/paint on your own since they are unfinished. If you have the ability to do it on your own they are proabably a good option but if you have to pay a professional it would be too expensive relative to the overall price of the bike. Occasionaly the stuff will pop up on Ebay but it is usually snatched up quick and never for cheap.
