Okay, so I am about to buy a Power Commander PCIII USB for my 2000 VFR. The bike has a high Staintune pipe and a Piper Cross air filter, PAIR valve removal, flapper mod, two teeth up on the rear sprocket. I have searched but cannot find "the" map for this setup. Does anybody have any recommendations on what works well with a similar setup?
    Thanks,

    Primo

My guess is you'll never see all the benefits using a generic map. If you have the moo-lah, I'd suggest getting a custom tune. Believe it will run about $250 to $300.

Hope it works out and good luck!

Generic map will work but to get the most out of the setup you should consider a custom map.

There was a considerable improvement for me in smoothness and power after 9K was increased..

When I inquired on the Staintune with stock bike this is the response I got from DynoJet support.

Our predeveloped map #M106-303 is the closest to your setup that we currently have available in our map database library. The air flow characteristics between the two setups should be similar enough for the map to work for you as a starting point You also always have the option to have the bike dyno tuned and custom mapped specifically for your bike's setup and or riding style if you like at one of our approved tuning centers in your local area if you want to get it 100% optimized. Also, if you have the PC5 unit you could utilize the Auto-tune accessory to make a custom tune.
