It is common with clutches wearing out.
That is why when its starts slipping to take care of it right away.
What happens is all the clutch plates get worn and then when you pull
on the clutch lever the pushrod bottoms out but the plates are leaving
a gap. Then the plates can get cocked on an angle and get stuck, and the endplate does not move out evenly.
It chatters when it gets on an angle.

It is not your fault .

I think i figure it out. The first bit of slipping at 7k rpm was from the hyabusa clutch lever the previous owner installed. It wasn't letting the clutch fully engage. The broken PP was from when i was replacing my chain and sprocket. Someone pulled the clutch lever without my knowledge while the slave was removed. It was a little difficult and i heard something snap, but i figured it was just the cover seating itself. The clutch lever had so much pressure I had to bleed the clutch afterwards in order to be able to pull the clutch lever. When i drove home i noticed the clutch slipping worse, but i assumed it was just a dieing clutch and it didn't like the smaller front sprocket. The next day, i couldn't get out of the driveway, noticed the hyabusa lever issue, removed the clutch cover and viola. New PP, Clutch discs, and levers on the way! I guess there is a reason the repair manual stresses placing wood under the lever a tieing it down. lesson learned.

So guys. Help out someone who has a fair amount of miles under his butt but is a short period of time. My 06 bike has 122,000km (76,000 miles) plus on it. I've had it since it was in the crate. What should I notice if it is developing clutch issues. Last thing I want to happen is get stuck out in Three Dogs Fucking Crossing, Montana, broken down and everyone there hating Canadians cause we have funny cloured money.

I haven't noticed any slippage that Don eludes to.
