Ahh, thanks, for some reason I didn't even think of using that mounting point. I was thinking of more of a bracket that went between the mirror mount and the upper fairing, to hang my lights below the mirror stalk, I hadn't even thought of using the pivot bolt...
I had put off mounting som Piaa Cross Country lights until I found the time to fab something up, since I haven't been able to find someone who makes what I want and the lights have been siting for over a year now maybe closer to two. Long enough that the cross country HID's aren't the latest and greatest now, with so many LED aux lights out there. Now I gotta consider that too.

It will be a little tedious getting them aimed properly, but I do like the location. I spent a little time looking and didn't see any prefab anything for the VFR's. For a bike that's been around so long I would have thought there would be some options out there other than having to come up with something

Ditto, I looked all over and can't find a "made" bracket for the VFR, can't understand why. You would think it would be better to be the only one making a bracket for the VFR, rather than one of about 6 companies making a light bracket for the BMW GS.
