I'm sure glad you didn't mention the Power Commander or I'd swear we were related. I've done or in the process of doing everything you have mentioned right down to the brake pads. How do you like that Penske shock? I keep going back and forth between the Ohlin for $850.00 or the Penske for $625.00...

Coulda...woulda....shoulda kept your '98! I would recommend that you line up all of the specs. from '98 to '07. You will see that the
'98 is lighter, has the accurate (at high rpm) gear-driven cams, does not have the 2000 catalytic-converter, nor the newer beloved
(heh heh) VTEC, no ABS, and has the great 180 degree crank. Getting a 49 state bike would be a super plus factor! Also, contact your
nearest Honda dealer and ask them how much the VTEC valve adjustment will co$t compared to the '98, etc.
Now I really broke open the hornets' nest! :yield:

it looks like it is all based on what your taste may be! i have had an 83 VF750, 86 VFR750 r/w/b, and now an 02. for me, i love the look and sound of the 86 r/w/b and would love to get another. i also love the sound of the 02 with any after market pipe. i have staintune and plan on getting the Motad downpipes soon. it is my understanding that the 98 VFR is the best bike from a performance standpoint. Reg Pridmore might still have his 98 that was given to him after being pumped out completely.
thanks PorsheBob for reminding me of the cost! damn buckets!

I put some basic info an a thread under buying & selling. We know the history of the bike from delivery. Both my 2 best friends and actually a third friend(a secret service agent for Cheney) owned it. Ill get some pics up. He is a winemaker here in VA, and has been pretty slammed, but I think he wants a new ride. Thanks for interest.:tea:

I'm happy with the Penske Sport shock I got from Traxxion, so far I've done rides to Wisconson, Arkansas and Colorado, and have'nt really had to fiddle with it from the specs I gave Traxxion, plus If I think I need to add a remote they can add it on.Power Commander?
