clutch grabs and inch from the grip and the lever has hardly any feel to it? is this what it's like when the clutch is getting worn out? I don't think there is any adjustment in the hydraulic cable system. 1986 VFR 700F2
You have yourself sort of a "Jumbo Shrimp" situation there. If the clutch is hydraulic it uses no cable and IS somewhat adjustable, you'll need an adjustable lever for real adjust-ability. If it has no feeling it needs to be bled like a brake needs to be bled. You have a brake fluid reservoir on the left handlebar control and a bleed nipple on the left side of the engine. Put in new DOT4 brake fluid and bleed it good and you should be 100 times better.
yea, that's what i was thinking, the adjusting wheel doesn't do much. there is still brake fluid in there, and steel braided line...i haven't ridden much lately so i was surprised it changed from the last ride. will probably try to bleed it first and see what happenes...thanks, dave
My Sabre did that once last year. Every thing was fine then for no apparent reason it got air in the line, bleed it and it's been fine since.
