After a week of Severe Storms and heavy rain which is causing major flooding in the area we've had a couple of beautiful days. So i decided to take a ride to enjoy the day. Making a mental note before leaving to take an easy pace because of possible driveway gravel being washed on the road. Having grew up in the area i know the road like the back of my hand. Easing out and setting a nice easy pace i started to see a black strip splitting the lane being careful to stay either left or right and easing up even more, i came up to a very tricky curve ( double apex) which has caused several wrecks even claming the life of a fellow rider last fall. Slowing down even more and easing thru the curve just what i expected happened, ever what was dumping the oil down had misjudged the curve and had run off the road which of course had spread the oil across the outside lane of the road needless to say the front end tucked and i was sure i was going down, some how i didn't i'll say luck saved me. If i had been even close to my normal pace it would have been bad day for me. Guess the moral of the story is sometimes reguardless of how careful you are being bad things can happen. And if you travel hwy. 115 in N.E. Ar be cafeful it's a great road but lot's of gravel driveways and a rock quarry with lot's of dump trucks. So fellow riders be safe and enjoy...
