    Hi
First post here and would really like some advice.
I am lookin at buying a VFR and have two options in front of me:
1-1995 VFR with 44k on the odo. According to owner it has seen regular service and he has most of the receipts to confirm. Stock with the exception of Heli- bars. Price $2500 neg
2-1999 VFR 12k on the odo. 2 owner bike with service history much like the above bike. Stock all around.
    $3500 negotiable.
Now the $3500 is at the top end of my budget and would not leave me with, right now, the ability to get a jacket etc.
The 95 would allow me to get a jacket on the ride home etc. But those aren't big concerns with me.
What I am asking is an opinion on the merits and downsides of either bike
    Thanks up front!
    Arex

+1 the older the bike the harder to find parts......beside the 99 only 12k miles
Bring cash and offer him 3k see if he bite :) max out at 3200 walk away I am sure he will call you back
    Good luck

Went and drove the 95 today and was very sry impressed with it. Lots of service records, manual, in the manual the prior owner had written a log of what was done. Bike is super sharp! Very few scratches and or cracked plastic.
Steel braided brake lines, Corbin seat, battery monitor, good tires, Heli-bars. Very comfortable.
I'm going to move on it and he is bringing it tomorrow!
Thanks for the advice (even though I went against it lol )
    Will give pics tomorrow!

I was going to chime in with some safety cop advice about not being able to afford the bike if you can't afford the gear. But since you're taking the '95....

I agree and once I rode the bike and weighed the price and what I could and could not get, i decided to get the less expensive bike and be able to get gear to help protect myself.
