Thought I might share my tail bag mounting on me VFR. I use it mainly for commuting so I need just a little storage foy my lunch and such, and the CorTech tail bag is just the right size. I've used this bag on many bikes but didn't want to scratch the body work with the bunji straps. I bought an extra seat cowl and mounted it. I now can just remove the seat and switch the cowl if I need the bag. Now I just need to get it painted.

Installed Heli Bars, Sargent Seat, Sigma Lowering Kit.

This bike is sooooooo comfortable now !!!

it's pretty, too. Sometimes I think I should have gone ahead and bought the 07 when I saw it. If it had that gear driven cam whine, I probably would have already... Maybe I'll record my 5g and listen to it while I ride a 6g! ;)

That's a neat idea, but are those 2 little pegs sufficient to hold on the cowl+ the bag and its contents moving around?

    Two things.

As far as the centerstand, I roll the rear up on a 2x4 to allow enough height to pull the bike up. I intend to cut the center stand about an inch lower to solve that problem, just haven't done it yet and I usually just use the shortened side stand that came with the Sigma kit.

And yes, the tabs on the cowl are somewhat of a concern. So far so good. The cowl still fits the Sargent seat but it does go on a little tight. I usually dont have much weight in the tail bag but I do think about the tabs breaking. I guess I should keep my inportant things in the takn bag.

I use this base that I machined out of .250 Kydex it straps to the seat and the bag attaches to the base. keeps from scratching the paint up as nothing touches it. Cool idea with the extra seat cover.
