vfr 008.jpg vfr 001.jpg Thinking about selling mhy 91, has 16k miles, i would say it is in good condition for it's age, not perfect. Does have a couple of minor cosmectic issues, has not been down in a crash or anything life that.

$18-2200 depending on local market and how "minor" your cosmetic issues are. With "issues" you're probably around that $2000 mark.

    I'll give ya $250.

With low mileage like that you should be able to get around $2500 assuming that it has only has minor cosmetic issues.

I've been trying to sell my 90' for 1700 with not luck. It has more cosmetic issues then yours and 100k+ miles but it runs great. You should hold out for at least 2k.

Sad thing is the sum of the parts are worth more than the whole bike.

    Low mileage adds value.

I find those pricing guides to be pretty worthless when it comes to older vehicles. The bottom line is that the bike is worth whatever someone is willing to pay you for it. It is very difficult to place a market value on something that is only available in limited quantities and 3rd Gen VFR's are becoming more difficult to find nowadays especially with low mileage and in decent condition. For someone like me who loves older VFR's I would be willing to pay alot more than the average buyer as long as the bike meets all my standards .

Xtras count too. Even a better air filter counts. Receipts and invoices count. Gear driven cams count..

16 k on a 91? Probably still seating the rings..

More specificity on "cosmetics" would be a good thing. Did the bike live in a garage? Tires?

There is a saying I can't take credit for coining. Think it was originally was used in the car industry, goes something like this; "there is an ass for every seat." That being said, me thinks your gona have to get that special buyer that covets dah Third Generation bikie. Your mileage is certainly low for the year, on the flip side its easy to decieve a buyer by switching gauges and such. That aside if you want a certain price just hold out. $2000.00 is not that much for a running bike, I have seen trash that runs on CL from anywhere from 1000.000 to $2000.00 and those bikes I wouldnt be caught dead riding, (not a bike snob).

My Third Gen is probably worth more in parts than the entire bike, and my bike is cosmetically perfect for the year and mileage it has accrued. Anyway, I gota go out and ride me thinks
