...aka, the place where Star Trek "Arena" was filmed.

Oddly enough, I've ridden past the place dozens of times, but never made it into the park itself, so today I stopped to snap a few pics. :)

This photo isn't from Vasquez, but overlooking Castaic Lake on the way back (way off to the right in the background).

All in all, it was only a couple hundred mile loop, but man what a beautiful day out on the V12. ...I love this bike more and more every time I throw a leg over!!!

Thanks 02. My "do everything" camera is a Canon 1D MkIII with a Canon 24-70 f2.8 L lens. It's a potent combo, but not exactly travel friendly in size/weight! lol ...yet that's what I haul around with me. :)

good to see the 1200 out in the wilds.
bike looks great, esp the new akropo

37 MPG seems pretty reasonable for 1200 units of joy

Thanks! ...and yeah, she's a LOT of fun. I'm sure I'd be getting better than 40 if I spent at least half my time commuting or droning on the hwy, but most of my miles are in the canyons or twisty mountain roads.

    ...it's terrible I tell ya! ;)
