Got a 2008 VFR 800 Not a clue what Gen it is but hey...

Is done about 7000 miles now and the trhottle is getting a little slack - probably due to the cable giving a little since new...

Anyone able to tell me a quick / easy way to take up the loose bit?

    Many thanks!

    Kev

You have a 6th gen. There are two cables poking out the inside of your throttle, on one cable there will be two nuts. Loosen the nuts and adjust until your throttle freeplay is acceptable (you should have just a little bit) and re tighten nuts, ten second job. :welcome:

6th gen and the adjustment nuts for the throttle cables should be at the end of the metal tubes that come out of the housing on your handle bar. Loosen the lock nuts and adjust until you have the correct amount of free play and then tighten.

    EDIT: To slow...

Search Function works! After putting about a thousand miles on my new (used) VFR I got the throttle tightened up! Hopefully this will ease my city riding.
