After doing all the tests looks like my R/R is dead.

Need replacement and was looking at this
    https://www.rmstator.com/en/motorcy...or_rectifier_for__vfr_800_/1998_1999/4100.htm

$99 is cheapest I found and they claim theirs are more robust then OEM.
Before shelling out my money (tough situation for me now so can't waste money)
    my bike is 98 VFR800

Thank you or if you have better suggestion please recommend.

Hi. I just orderded and installed a rm stator for my 96 gen 4.
Its definetly looks better than the stock. It was 79 with free ship. I got it in 2 days. It has a large heat sink. The stock one did not. The company has great follow up for questions after the sale.

Thank you! Seems not a popular option...but seems like the only least expensive one.

Why did you you think it's not a popular option? The company back the part up for one year. It's the fraction of the cost of a OEM one. The company answered all of my emails and this was after the sale.

Now, if I can only get the back to run right. But that's another issue.
