I get what my sig says.

Best i've gotten was almost 4L/100km.
That was when I started riding it and was only going 80-90kph tops.

Just under 40mpg here. About half/half city/interstate driving.

With a +2 rear sprocket on my 99 I get a little above 40 mpg around town and 47 mpg when cruising at higher speeds on backroads. Those numbers hold unless I get a little greedy with my right wrist. Lowest I have seen is 37mpg.

I have gotten a little over 50MPG on a freeway drone...maybe 52. my 98 gets about 38 - 40 regularly, the y2k a little better - usually mid 40's. the $4 gas got me to thinking about fuel economy. seems like 50 - 60 is about as good as it gets around town for any gas burning device bigger than a riding lawnmower. i was thinking about a 250cc scooter ; or a small 250cc bike just for errands....maybe a KLR. but boy, you'd have to burn a ton of gas for that to ever pay off.....maybe if you were a delivery driver or similar.
better to just ride the viffer.

I get mid thirty something. But the good news is I have at least 2000 miles of twisties left on my tires. That's good enough for me.

what I like about VFR is that even if it is a big bike (100 HP) it can drink so little fuel if its ridden normally, and of course if you ride it like you stole it VFR will drink like hell :D

I get 54 mpg at 70 to 75 mph on the freeway, exactly what the magazine testers got in 1987.

Exactly. Its super easy, reset your trip odometer every time you fill up. Then the next time you fill up, divide the number of miles traveled by the number of gallons it took to fill the tank back up, a cell phone comes in handy here.
