Gosh, I am new to the group, but am sitting here in Albuquerque looking at the temp and thinking I will be staying in tomorow. Again.

I have spent the last 5 years riding year round on BMW's, get this Honda, and they have to bring it to me in a truck due to the amount of snow. So far I have managed to stick heated grips on, change the oil, and stick in a new battery. Put a total of 12 miles on it. This is just great.

I went for a little ride today here in Tucson and it was about 45-50 degrees with slight wind. I got pretty cold on the ride.....hands and legs were almost frozen when I got home. Man I need some riding pants and heated grips! Upper body is good to go.

BTW, R-dub, what kind of seat is that on your bike? Is it the Corbin or Sargent? Looks nice and comfortable.

Sorry Zona, just caught that question today, only two weeks late  but that seat would be a two piece Sargent, usually I have buyers remorse on everything I buy and the Sargent is the exception. Usually when I go on group rides up here it is about a 300-400 mile day, and I can not put into words how much the Sargent has made those miles feel like it was about 50...

Well finally we had some decent weather. Actually got to go for ride. Mind you it started out at about 25 with fog that froze on my visor, not fun, but after a while the sun broke through and it got up to the mid fourties. After what we have been having positively tropical. Very pleasant. I needed that, only a couple of hundred k's but thats better than nothing. The daffodils are starting to show in my garden so spring is on the way.

Got out yesterday for a couple of hours and seen the aftermath of TWO bikes down, I think they tried to ride like it was summer conditions on a very twisty road "DeWatto".

Me on the other hand rode like a tourist after observing the road conditions with all the sand and gravel to go along with my bald back tire, It was still fun to get out for a couple of hours midday and see Rainier on one side and the Olympics on the other

There will be none of that in these parts. It actually hit like 25 the other day for a while. It has been brutally cold here. I have a hard enough time getting myself out on the slopes let alone on my bike. Thank God for the influx of hot ski bunnies to keep my spirits up. And that aint all that they keep up!
RW, the bike looks sweet. My garage isn't heated yet so I can't even give it a good wash. I could park it in the living room I guess. Got no woman to tell me any different. Although the ride from the barn to the house might be a little dangerous. Better wait till spring.

I got out saturday for a couple of hours of twisties, had one pucker moment and enjoyed the rest of the ride quite a bit calmer. It has been nice though, now commuting again on the VFR, boy the heated grips are great:biggrin: it was a balmy 34 this morining when I got to work.
