    Hello!

    I am in the midst of deciding to put up my Intereceptor for sale. Its just over 18K miles on it and for the most part in great shape. I've had it winterized 2 years ago and its been sitting in my garage under a linen cover since then. It runs great but probally needs an oil change and the carbs cleaned.

    I need to know current value of these bikes. I know that they have "vintage" appeal but unsure of what markets.

    Bike is located in Plainfield, IL

    How can you say it runs great and also say the carbs need cleaning ??

    If the carbs need cleaning, it doesn't run great; and if runs great, the carbs don't need cleaning.

    Value of the bike is not the same as a likely selling price, unfortunately.

    I was lucky enough to locate the right buyer and sell a white '87 like that to an old air force reserve pilot for $3500 in about 1994 .

    @squirrel...about the carbs...that makes sense...that's why Im a newbie!!

    I just assumed it would need a cleaning after sitting for about 2 years.

    Im charging the battery now to see how it runs..I should take a vid of it while running.

    Drain the fuel tank, and refill with fresh fuel. Don't run old fuel through the system.

    Well..battery wont hold a charge so I will be getting a new one. I'll drain the gas (put Stabilin it) but won't risk it.

    Still kicking around the ideal of putting it for sale here or on Craigslist so I can get new sonar for my boat.
