I have a 08 just got it brand new I have noticed that occassionally it wont go into first from nuetral also up shifting into second it hits nuetral sometimes anyone else have this happen? the bike only has 200 miles and today I had to start in 3rd because no matter how hard I hit the shifter it would not down shift at all from a dead stop with clutch all the way in. Just want some input before I take it to the dealer for the run around. thanks

Take it back to the dealer, maybe they set it up wrong and it's just an adjustment, make sure they write it up and date it to have a record of the problem. Mine will get harder to shift when the oil needs to be changed, but never multi neutral and never refused to go into a gear.

agreed. If it is that new, the dealer needs to look at it.

Just spinning plates here, but this may help you diagnos the issue - Put the bike in gear and try to start it with the clutch lever pulled in. If it won't start, then your clutch is in need of an adjustment.

Very difficult to say what is amiss. Maybe even low hydraulic fluid in the clutch master cylinder. Best bet IMO is to not only have the dealer have a look but have them pick up the bike.

Sounds like you have this dealer wired.. What amazes me is that some dealer/stealer (s) operate like this for years and rarely get "outed" Even the harleydoods have a dealers and stealers site.

We now return to our regular programming and the "Greatest Dealer in the World Hour".
