...completely out of the blue. My 2001 VFR was running like a top last week. Changed the oil and rear tire today to get ready for better weather:biggrin:, hit the starter but all she will do is crank. Engine does not fire. Gas is new, everything is stock except for the VFRness added two years ago. Any suggestions? Hook up the trailer? Or is are there some things I should look for before calling in the experts at the shop? Thanks for the help!!!!
Bummer. Back up, take a breath, and give her a fresh look in the morning. Maybe something simple??? I'm sure someone will have better advice, but if I had a dollar for every time I got frustrated and then realized I'd made a simple mistake, well, then I guess I'd have $2. But seriously, good luck.
Pliskin, Deep breaths are always good advice, thanks. I have wracked my brain thinking about how an oil and tire change could be connected to this problem. I suspect it is something totally unrelated. I will pull the tank and check the plugs for fire this weekend. If anyone else has suggestions about where I should look I'd really appreciate them. BTW. Should plugs be changed on an annual basis? Mine were in the bike when I bought it two years ago... If it is bad plugs, is it unlikely that the all would stop firing at the same time? I hope everyone has a great weekend on their bikes......
