    Here's 2 new 08s east coast

I tried to make a deal on a new 08 at Pete's Cycle in Bel Air, MD. They have it marked $7500 on Cycle Trader.... the worst part is they want another $699 for setup and freight fees... $95 for doc fees.... and tax and title and some other fees all in pushed it up about $8800 otd. They refused to go lower. Track N Trail had a nice 08 with 1200 miles on it priced at $7300. Was sold new in Jun 2010 and owner got rid of it in Oct. It still looks showroom new! I offered them 75 -100 dollar bills otd. Bike price wound up being $6999....Sat I picked it up and Pete's Cycle can go pound sand.

Track N Trail also had a new 08 priced at $8500..... but I got the passenger seat cowl from it..... he hee!

Keep in mind that Sun is a Hardley dealership so they're used to being a-holes. And by the way, I quite resemble that "Flyin' Fridge" remark!!! :ass:

If something ever did happen to my "flying fridge" I would be looking for another new one...same color and all. Especially if I didn't have the saddle bags on at the time. I'd strip what I could off, replace with factory, start all over.

Bad experience with Sun...that $12K VFR has been ridden and is it damaged. Looks like it was tipped into another bike. I WILL NOT EVER do business with Sun again.

I bought my V12 from Aurora Honda and it was a great experience. Rod is a straight shooter and gave me a great deal on my new V12. Fay Myers didn't seem to want my business either. From now on I deal with Aurora Honda for everthing. Great folks and family owned Honda ONLY dealer. Just got home with the new V12...sweet!!

Delta, what is your opinion on Aurora Honda's service dept? Any experience with them yet? It's almost time for my 16k service and I don't trust any of these dealerships. Thanks...

Local sport bike crowd speaks highly of Fay. Though they weren't willing to give you the deal you wanted, it doesn't sound like they mistreated you?

    guitarX,

I don't have any experience with their service department, but a few observations:

    1. It is not a flashy dealership.
    2. It is a small, old school, shop.
    3. All of the guys working in the service department were older than me (I'm 43).
    4. Jon, the parts guy, is great!

I'd recommend you go buy and talk to Rod about your concerns regarding getting good service and ask him point blank how many VFRs they have serviced at 16K. Rod has an06' VFR and I think he will tell you straight what they can and can't do.

    tink,

Fay did not "mistreat" me and never has. I have always had a good experience with the folks in parts...very helpful and professional.

    DZ

Well, if any of you gents and ladies should come across a minty or NOS or even NIB 2003 CBR1100xx in the Honda shops you frequent, please do let me know. (Yes yes, I know this is not a Blackbird forum, heh.)
