Hi Zion, The first generation V4s had some oil feel issues that resulted in cam shaft probems. By 85 these were apparently solved but in all honesty, I would hold out for an 86 (2nd generation) bike as it was vastly improved in all respects. I think you could probably get into a 3rd gen for about 2k fi you hunt a bit.
thanks for the info. Ive had lots of fun/luck with my 3rd gen so ill stay in that area. Its a bike for my brother
