From looking at the install pics it looks like they won't work with the Throttlemeister (it has its own insert that it needs to thread into), which is too bad. Even with the Throttlemeister installed, I still get "buzzy" numb fingers after too much slab on the V12. ...I'm going to have to resort to my old-school solution which involves loosely filling the rest of the bar with nickel plated lead shot; which should absorb any remaining vibes in the throttle side bar.

Glad to hear it works so well though, I might have to try a set for my XR650 one of these days! :)

Wow, heard back from Don already and here is his response!

"Please get the rear sets here!

We should be able to get them modified/upgraded in a day or 2. The prototyping phase and first few pairs will be no charge.

Rear set pegs and Vibranators are 'made for each other'. The other type pegs are more challenging.

    Thanks for being a tester."

I will send you a PM with my address so you can send them to me and I'll get them to him ASAP!! Thanks a TON!!

Ya know... there's a guy on the RC51 Forum that said he used a Throttlemeister for like 58K miles, then put the VBs on and noticed a HUGE improvement. He didn't say if he used them in conjunction with the Throttlemeister or took the Throttlemeister off... I'll see what I can find out from him...

Does anyone know if there is anything that would make these work with the Throttlemeister?
On long trips I would not want to ride without the Throttlemeister.

I was at the shop, visiting with Don last night while he babysat the CNC machines making parts for his Ricor shocks...:) I asked him about the Throttlemeister. He knows all about it and he knows how to make the VBs work with the Throttlemeister. They need to create a piece specific to that application and he said it's on their list, but unfortunately the "need" for it is small enough that it's more towards the end of their list of things to do. It will probably happen within the next year or so...

Awesome Metallican!! And, don't worry, I actually just copy/pasted your "review" so he got it all. Nobody really got in trouble per se, he was just joking around. He just stressed to them how important it is to make sure that tool goes in the box... :)

That's some crazy lady giving out her address for spare parts... I'd be wary of her!! :)

Foot pegs too! Nice. Looks like I'll be getting the whole set done in April. Hopefully, Don will have them perfected by then.

Just ordered a set. Will give them a go and let you know....
A few weeks ago I did a 10 day trip to Tasmania (southern Aust) we covered about 4000km.
My right wrist/hand was getting numb and almost bruised-like. I had a throttle-assist which I ditched half way round.
    Hopefully it helps.

Im guessing these will work with helibars as the stock bar ends are supposed to be fitted into them anyhow.

    Any way to confirm this?

I sure hope so, as I just ordered a set! I don't see why they wouldn't fit Helibars. I'll post with the results when I get them.

I'm going to have to give them a call to see what it would take to make them work. ...maybe it's something I can fab up myself. I'd really like to cancel out the vibes on the VFR1200, but I'm not eager to ditch the Throttlemeister as it's a "must have" for me on longer road trips!

Thanks again for all the leg work, I'm hoping I can get something figured out. ...or it's back to the "filling the bars with lead shot" idea, which works, but is less elegant. :)

Okay I'm going to try a pair on my '96. I have nerve problems in my arms; maybe this will help. I'll post again after I put some miles on them.

Thanks for getting us the discount, chick.

I just ordered some for my VFR1200F. I get a slight vibration at different RPMs and I have at little over 7000 miles on the bike.

Seems like it would be beneficial to both parties to arrange a hookup between them to let the engineer/fabricators figure out if the components are or can be made compatible. Lashups tend to void warantees and when dealing with the major controls on any bike, ya might only get one shot at a quick fix before going splat.

appreciated the feedback...i have heli-bars and find still not enough height and backreach....would sell the heli-bars and use gain for purchase of better set...Spieglers sound good and look good from website but need the bars to still be narrow enough in overall width....Converti-bars have the height but wonder about their backreach....

I never got a confirmation email for my order (three days ago), and they don't answer their phone. I left a message. We'll see what happens. I understand it's a small shop, so customer service may be difficult. Fingers crossed.

UPDATE: Don sent me an email to let me know that they're waiting on the powdercoater. So he does check his messages.
