It's truly sad that our media only wants to report on the nuclear aspect of the tragedy in Japan. Their focus only seems to focus on what would possibly affect the west coast of the US instead of looking at what we as a race of people can do to help. If I had the skills and knowledge to be able to help in whatever capacity I could, i would be on the first plane to Japan if they asked for volunteers I've only had the small privilege of visiting Japan for 4 days a few years ago but it left me with a deep respect and admiration for their country and culture. The US may be my born country, which I love to no end but if I had a choice to live anywhere else on the planet it wouldn't be hard for me to choose my place of residence.

Do whatever you can to help out the people of Japan; every little bit helps.

I have a few friends that are living and going to school in Japan right now... My friends Michael and Michelle, circumstances have brought her stateside two weeks ago and she currently is residing on our couch for a few days.... Michael , however, is still in Japan, they live 400+ miles from the power plant, so he says that everything is cool.... the US Embassy has started a voluntary evacuation of employees and families...... Michael is staying put...for now..

I didn't even think about all the history, as well as family history that is now lost, I am only able to track my family lines back a few hundred years...... I can't imagine loosing a thousand years of history.... It is saddening...

The disaster that has is happened and still unfolding in Japan is mind boggling in size and loss of life. What has impressed is the way the Japanese people have held their grace and composure in the face of shortages and continuing uncertainty. I heard a radio interview from one totally disheartened Oz rescuer who had gone to Japan how the town he was searching Sendai was so completely devastated it was hard for them to work out even where to begin.

Photos from different aspects of the Japanese disaster:

Whenever there is a catastrophic event, it makes me realize that I have never really had a bad day.

Best wishes to all injured and missed people, Although Japan a nation well prepared on that kind of earthquakes, no one could imagine that a tsunami would hit them in that way, A prayer for all the people and my best wishes to all japanese and relatives aroundhere In VFR world.
