~~(I also placed an ad in the Wanted section of the VFRworld Classifieds. If THIS duplicate posting is a forum no-no, then let me know and I swear that I'll delete it pronto! Yes, I'm a newbie)~~

Urgently need the whole tail light assembly that makes up the brake/blinkers/running lights all in one piece. I'm certain a 1999 will work and I'm 99.9% sure a 2000-2001 will fit too. Willing to try an LED unit, if that's all I can get my hands on. Parts bikes are a possibility, if the price & location are right.

The dealership gave me part# 33710-MBG-671

There aren't any OEM parts in stock at any dealership anywhere around me....I've tried!
No luck on either eBay or Craigslist. HELP!!!!

If your dealership parts dude would get off his ass and source another Honda warehouse instead of the one he now uses, your part might be more available than it appears.

Good point Badbilly, I'll give them all another call. I'll also expand my search radius of dealerships another 50-75 miles. Hopefully they're not ALL using the same warehouse or network of warehouses that my local yokels use. Thanks for the advice!

    where to get it

David Silver Spares.com in the UK will have and send quicker than any of these USA wankers who are blaming the earthquake for parts unavailability.

Be advised. The local yokels are local everywhere..

Somebody might have more specific info but some of the large online outfits are quick on parts and many times faster than dealerships getting the parts in your hands. Bought a few things from Bike Bandit with no hassles. Some of the online Honda specific outfits are good too. They run small ads in mags like Cycle World.

Do the UK parts houses tack on VAT for shipments? How are parts shipped? Royal Mail is adequate but FEDEX and UPS from UK to USA would be a bit pricy IMO.

Honda have several US and Canadian warehouses. The parts dudes at local (yokel) dealerships get used to dealing with whichever warehouse that is closest. So if a part or assembly is not in stock at thier fave warehouse the parts dude search no further unless pressed. IMO, most of them have one of those "I don't give a shit" attitudes.
