If you really want some relief for pressure on your wrists, shoulders, etc., u might want to consider a handlebar conversion kit from LSL Spiegler. Check them out on line they have a kit for the VFR for 275.00, which is what I paid last summer. Moves your hands up about three inches and back about two inches. Night and day when compared to the clip ons. No new cables or wiring needed, just re-routing the throttle cables in front of the triple trees. Very comfortable riding position. Just sayin.

The actual Iron Butt event, or just (well just isn't the right word, since that makes it sound like nothing) one of their rides? ie the saddlesore 1000, the buttburner 1500 etc? if I am remembering the names right

Yeah, not the "Iron Butt Rally". It will be one of the 1000 miles in less then 24 hour rides.... whatever the name of that is.... :) I don't think it will be too tough. I rode 780 miles a couple weeks ago, from about 8am to 8pm. Another 220 miles didn't see like it woulda killed me.... we shall see though.

Thank you Vfrchick, I ordered and installed the vibranators. I am now a believer, while my VFR is waiting for my attention to be restored I do have a RC51 I currently ride. It had stock clip-on's with after market delrin bar ends. I let Don know what bike I had and he sent the correct ones for a Honda V-twin. (Thank you Don). Anyway I took a ride this morning on roads I like to relax and enjoy. Little traffic with nice sweepers and great scenery. While at low speed in traffic it felt better, but you really notice it at speed when the RPM's rise. I used to hate interstate speeds 60-80 MPH, not anymore. As a test I took it up to 6000 RPM @ around 100 MPH and suddenly I hit the sweet spot. My seat and tank were buzzing as usual but the bars were amazingly still. I could feel the tires on the road while isolating the vibration from the engine. (no wonder racers love them). On a side note I have some kind of problem with my left wrist from a fall. It always kills me after this ride, but felt fine after the ride! Great product!

I too "have some kind of problem with my left wrist (allegedly) from a fall." So, I definitely appreciate Iceman's testimonial. Once I heal, I don't think I'll have any other choice but to get a set for each bike.

Sorry for hijack, but DAMN JTC! Is that the same hand where your last avatar was the X-Ray? (And LMAO at the "allegedly").

Glad you are enjoying them Iceman and seeing the benefits. Funny, you mention other vibrations on the bike. I too have noticed seat and foot peg "buzzing" that I didn't notice before because the entire bike was buzzing. Now I notice the difference between the "solid" handlebars and buzzing rest of the bike. I'll pass along your comments to Don, I'm sure he'll be pleased to hear you're happy.

Yeah, BP... to me, the handlebars went from feeling like a 70's era Chevy to a brand new Mercedes... HUGE difference. Also, I used to have chronic aches, pains and tightness in my neck, back and shoulders. Since I ride every day, I never had anything to compare to and say "Oh, it's riding the bike every day that's causing it." Since I've had the vibranators on, those aches and pains have slowly gone away and are practically non-existent now. And, I'm still riding every day.

As an aside... anybody know who Chuck Son is? Dirt bike champion from the 70s? He's helping do PR for these things and I'll be meeting with him and Don next week to help them get their website updated... pretty exciting stuff happening over here!!

Can the vibranators be used with a throttlemeister? I have the heavy throttlemeisters and they offered an improvement in vibration damping. I wonder how much better the vibranators might be?

I'm not familiar with how the Throttlemeisters install, but... the Vibranators are very much like the stock bar ends. If your Throttlemeister works with the stock handlebars and bar ends, it will work with the Vibranators. Basically there is a "rod" attached to the bar ends. The "rod" is tuned to a frequency that vibrates at a rate that basically cancels out the handlebar vibration. The VB bar ends go in, you tighen the screw, and it causes the end piece inside the handlebar to expand, keeping it in place and allowing the VB to remain suspended inside so it can do it's thing.... I'm sure it would work, but Don DOES offer a 30 day unconditional guarantee stated on the website... so you really have nothing to lose...

Oh hey, BTW, I let Don know that Iceman_JD posted about the VBs on the RC51 forum and you contacted me after seeing the post. I didn't even ask him to do this, but he setup a special discount code for you guys on the RC51 forum cause your VBs are tuned differently then the VFR ones, and the VFRWorld coupon code only works on the VFR VBs. The discount code for the RC51 Forum? VFRChick!! LOL!!! I'm gonna PM Iceman to let him know so he can post it up!!

Don is really a good guy and when I was talking to him last week he said he's so happy to be able to help riders ride more comfortably... and longer in some cases. Sure, he likes that he's making money so he can focus on this stuff and do even more, but his biggest priority is rider comfort. Said he had one guy who was in his 80s and had to stop riding because of hand pain... with the VBs he can now ride again and the guy is happy as a pig in shit!!

Got mine. Just a heads up, they didn't come with the super spiffy little tool to remove the old bar end weight/damper thingies. Not too hard to release the clips with a small flat blade screwdriver though so no biggie. I'll take 25% off over a tool I'm only gonna use once anyway!! They work, they work so well now I gotta figure out how to dampen the footpegs cause I can really feeel the vibrations everywhere else now, before they all blended together. Very happy with my purchase though, they look great, fit great, and work great. Thanks again Miss Karen for hookin us up with a discount.

maybe you should e-mail the guy and see if he wants to R&D some footpeg vibration dampners.

That is a capitol idea, I have a spare pair of rearsets too. Hey Chicky, you wanna be the tester bike again if I can convince him to do the R&D and I provide a set of rearsets/pegs for Don to fiddle with??

I let Don know that you didn't get the tool, and he sent the shipping guys to the dungeon to think about that for a while... :)

I've already told Don he needs to work on a foot peg solution and he's all for it. Let me find out what his time line is on it and if he wants you to send in your rearsets. Are these stock or aftermarket rearsets. And yes, I'll gladly help Don with R&D and be the tester bike once he's got a test foot peg solution!! I love this stuff!! :) I'll get back to you on this...

BTW, I've had shoulder pain in my left shoulder for years after I went over the handlebars on my Harley circa 2001. My left arm hit the pavement first, then I rolled. I think the impact jammed it and the pain I have usually worse after a long ride. After doing 1030 miles in 18.5 hours for my Iron Butt ride this weekend, my shoulder pain is literally gone... nada, zip, zilch!! I'm not saying the VBs healed the pain, but the buzz probably irritated it, and after, I don't even know how long, a week or two, of no buzz, including 1030 miles of no buzz... my shoulder has finally had enough of a break to stop the pain.... I'm really amazed...
