VF500 Bodywork/Lockhart lower for sale, possible trade

When I bought this bike a year ago it came with an Airtech lower in decent shape. It will need some paint and minor fiberglass touchup. I have decided to not use the lower fairing since I prefer the "open" look on this bike.

$75 + shipping or trade for a good windscreen.

Hmmm...I have what you are looking for...but I don't really like the lowers on the 500 either and a good upper is hard to come by. I have an extra RED seat in good condition if you are interested.

Nah, I just recovered my seat black. Not diggin the red vinyl.

I'm told they are the Lockhart ones from this thread: http://vfrworld.com/forums/1st-2nd-generation-1983-1989/30509-need-favor-pics-fairing-mounts.html. I guess if they're Airtech then they're not as desireable? Either way, I'm still open to trades.

I've got this exact same lower on my 500. It is a Lockhart. I think it greatly enhances the look. Good luck selling it.

 

Well, dammit! This is the third time I've been corrected on this and they look very similar. It must be a "Locktech", or an "Airhart". Well, either way, it's still for sale.

 

I'm still sticking with my statement that those are Airtech fairings.

The AirTech looks pretty much identical to the LockHart. Back in the late 80's, I bought 2 sets of these lowers from LockHart because they were pre-painted to match the '86 500 color scheme. I believe the AirTech fairings come unpainted. The original owner might be the only one to know which they are.

 

I'm open to trades for other VF500 parts.
