Where to buy a 6th Gen w/ABS

Hi folks,

New member to the forums and first post. After reading some of the previous posts on leftover 6th gen bikes I decided to sell my 2000 and try and pick up a leftover 07 or 08 w/ABS. Problem is i've called numerous (and I mean numerous) dealers in the Northeast and can't find one anywhere. I've also gone the Cycletrader / Ebay route with similar results. So my question is, does anyone know of a leftover 07 RWB w/ABS anywhere that maybe isn't on the web or a similar 08 w/ABS ?? At this point i'm pretty much willing to travel anywhere on the East coast to pick it up. Much thanks in advance.

I'm looking too...all upstate NY, no luck...the ABS throws things off a bit but if you've ever ridden with standard LBS, you might be surprised how well it works.

Only came across this in MD, though...not my fav. as I'd prefer RWB.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, much appreciated. I just pulled the trigger on a 2007 RWB w/abs. Slightly used (600 miles!) but in new condition. Pick it up this weekend, can't wait !

 

Keep looking, I just bought my RWB ABS last month with 500 on the clock. I sure had to PAY for it but I did at least find it. I found two on the west coast about six months ago but I wasn't willing to spend almost 11k by the time it was shipped to the east coast. I just had to wait until one turned up and it did. Just keep looking in the usual places like Fleabay and CL.

I made an offer on the one in Baltimore, MD.... but they wouldn't budge off the $7500. Then they wanted $699 for set up and freight fees... $95 paperwork and $497 for tax. I offered them 75 crisp $100 bills out the door and they said nope.... add all the above and that's the lowest they were willing to go.

So I'm picking up the used 08 with only 1200 mi from Track n Trail tomorrow.... for much cheaper. It sold new in June 2010.

Yeah.... I don't have time or patience for that kind of arrogance. Here's the mint one I'm picking up tomorrow for $6900.

 

I'm picking mine up in Jersey on Monday. I paid 7,500 for mine, out the door. Not "new", it has 533 miles on it. It does have some upgrades..Two Bros full racing exhaust and PCIII already installed. They wanted 8k for it and I obviously got 5 bills out of them but I really didn't care..I wanted THAT bike, I would have paid The 8k.

 

That's a nice deal, especially with the full exhaust and PCIII. I'm just under $7500 otd with no exhaust or PCIII, just an aftermarket windshield and 1200 miles on it.

 

new 2009 vfr's

Hello all, new to the site as I have just got back into biking. Just picked up a new (0km's) '09 white vfr800abs. Totally sweet. Out the door taxes in for $9500. Canadian dollars. Bike up here tend to cost more than in the states but I know of at least three more brand new '09 vfr's in Alberta Canada. Search Kijiji Alberta or the canadian auto trader. There out there so keep looking.

 

congrats mnan! I absolutely love those 09' white VFR's. wish we could have gotten them in the US.
