stupid starter clutch still

    Ok so the clutch I bougt is from an 86 mine is an 87 the pick ups are different. The magnetic pic up in my old one is cracked my? Is will the internals from the 86 fit and work in my old one or is the one I bought demmed useless. How ever I have two coils on there way and am trying to win a cdi box current bid is 20.00 in my favor 7 hrs left

    You need the '86 outer to trigger the pulse generators; the '87 definitely won't work.

    What color is your bike ?

    Are your gauges round ??

    Yes mine is a 87f2 H. The numbers match the book. 86 was g models

    Its running great. The cove was turned 180 out took it apart to rebuild it and dicovered that

    Good job fixing it !

    There should be an alignment mark or locating pin of some kind on each of the 2 parts that you might have missed.
