It's been asked 100x before but I keep looking into posts that have different methods and i'm debating which is the "best" and easiest way to go about this. If someone can post a link to a thread i'd really appreciate it. I found one on another VFR forum equipped with pictures and very detailed but the thread goes off into tangents about what could have and should have been done. Basically, I'm looking for a best and standard path to take.

    Thanks for the help guys.

The easiest way is to cut it off, throw it away, and call Two Bros or Leo Vince.

I have done several and have got it down but would suggest the Havcar path and get it over with. It is for the best to just cut to the chase and get what you want and avoid the hassle.

The easiest way is to remove the heat shields and then cut the end caps off just in front of the factory weld. This will allow you to slide the baffles out rather easily. Then you just need to get the end caps welded back on.

    1. Place stick of dynamite in exhaust pipe.

    2. Light fuse.

    3. RUN!!! :heh:

Nice, thanks for the replies. In all honesty, I actually prefer the look of the stock cans vs any of the aftermarkets be it oval or round with the ONLY exception being the Laser exhaust system which seems to be impossible to find. Besides, it's fun to rip stuff up with a dremel!

If anyone has a spare stock exhaust in the PA/NJ/DE area let me know!

While we're on the topic, does anyone know where to buy a LASER pipe for a decent price? Are they available anymore from retailers?

Last I heard, Laser has stopped distribution in the U.S. Also, the last retailer to sell them here threw one of our members under the bus in a way that resulted in months of battling. If memory serves, there was a rather effective google bomb started from this site.

I have a stock exhaust that I'm not using, but I'm in Va. I only used it for about 100 miles.
