wiring help! vf700f with pics

    just confused about the battery terminal hookup and the right and left hand control hook ups. I just need to know which colors for which nob. Sorry I'm a noob:crazy::crazy::crazy:

    red on the positive side of the battery....

    on the right side...hook then up...and if the bike doesn't start switch them....

    the left side is your nuetral safety bike won't start unless you have it in nuetral, so same with that....theone you don't want to hook up backwards is the battery leads....

    I have the exact same bike but I'm not sure what the extra wire is. I just see 2 hooked up to that fuse box and one on each terminal of my battery.

    Scratch that. The blue one goes to the left side of the fuse box now that i can see my pictures

    thanks for all the help! now onto the next problem, no spark after a new salenoid ! time to visit more posts and break out the meter

    First, check all the fuses.

    After you test and eliminate the several wiring and component issues, then suspect the CDI.

    Refer to wiring diagram, find the proper lead, and test that +12 voltage gets to CDI when key is ON. If not then test the clutch switch.
